Our Mission
The North Dakota Board of Podiatric Medicine is the state agency responsible for the licensure and discipline of all podiatrists licensed in North Dakota. The Board’s mission is to protect the public’s health, safety and welfare by regulating the practice of podiatric medicine, thereby ensuring quality health care for the citizens of this state.

Shantel Dewald is the Executive Director for the North Dakota Board of Podiatric Medicine. She handles the day-to-day functions of the board including application review, license renewals, complaints, and more. The ND Board of Podiatric Medicine also consists of six persons appointed by the Governor pursuant to ND Century Code 43-05-01.
